Intermountain Medical Group is pleased to welcome Elisa A. Rogowitz, MD to
Cottonwood Endocrine and Diabetes Center at Cottonwood Medical Clinic.
Dr. Rogowitz graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She
completed her internal medicine residency at Scripps Green Hospital in California, and
completed her endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism fellowship at the University
of Colorado. During her training, Dr. Rogowitz received the Edmund L. Keeney
Award for Leadership in Medicine. She has developed and led a quality improvement
project in clinical education and has conducted phase 2 clinical trials in post-bariatric
hypoglycemia.
Dr. Rogowitz’s clinical practice will focus on managing patients with general endocrine
disorders and complex diabetes cases. She performs ultrasound-guided thyroid biopsies.
Dr. Rogowitz understands the importance of involving the patient with the care plan
and believes in effectively engaging and educating patients, especially those with
chronic diseases, in self-monitoring modalities to improve their short and long-term
outcomes.
In her new position, Dr. Rogowitz will work to develop the Endocrinology Division’s
TeleHealth Program to improve access to endocrine care for rural and urban patients.
In her free time, she and her fiancé enjoy cooking, traveling, and are active outdoor
enthusiasts. She is fluent in German and Spanish.
