Ribbon cutting celebration: New Outpatient Infusion Center
Delta Community Hospital proudly celebrated the opening of its new Outpatient Infusion Center, marking a major milestone in expanding access to high‑quality care close to home for patients and caregivers in our community.
This new service significantly reduces the burden of travel for patients who previously had to leave the area for treatment. As shared during the celebration, patients once traveled more than 180 miles round trip to Utah County for infusion services. Over a typical 12‑week treatment plan, that added up to more than 3,200 miles and 54 hours on the road—more driving than a trip from Utah to Disneyland in California and on to Disney World in Florida.
Now, patients can focus less on travel and more on healing, comfort, and time with family.
Care Designed Around Patient Comfort
The new Outpatient Infusion Center was thoughtfully designed with patient comfort and dignity in mind. The infusion bays feature comfortable, adjustable chairs that allow patients to recline and relax during treatments that can last several hours. Large windows fill the space with natural light, creating a bright, calm, and welcoming environment during what can otherwise be a difficult and emotional time.
Bringing these services to Delta means patients can receive the care they need without the physical, emotional, and financial strain of long‑distance travel.
Expanded services under one roof
Beyond infusion and cancer treatment services, the new space also expands access to additional outpatient care, including:
- Sleep Study Services – A dedicated room designed to support overnight sleep studies in a quiet, comfortable setting
- Echocardiogram Services – Daytime cardiac imaging in a specialized echo room
- Wound Care Room – Providing advanced wound care close to home
These expanded services allow Delta Community Hospital to meet more patient needs locally and continue strengthening access to comprehensive care for the community.
Gratitude for Collaboration and Support
We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated team members and partners whose hard work, collaboration, and commitment made this important project possible. We are grateful for the continued support that allows us to provide high‑quality, compassionate care close to home for our community.
