Matthew R. Olson, DO, is joining Logan Regional Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Olson performs a direct anterior approach for total hip replacements. He also specializes in primary and revision total replacements for the hip, knee and shoulder.

He received his bachelors degree from Utah State University. Dr. Olson received his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital through Michigan State University in Clinton Township, Michigan. Dr. Olson also pursued additional fellowship training in adult hip and knee reconstruction at The CORE Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He is excited to be back in Cache Valley and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
