The Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care to premature babies and other sick and critically ill infants. McKay Dee’s NICU is a 32 bed, level III NICU that has a care team of Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, and a staff of qualified RN’s, Respiratory Therapists, and CNA’s.
NICU staff members have been specially trained to care for premature and sick newborns. We also have a multidisciplinary team including Developmental Specialists, Pharmacists, Dieticians, Lactation Specialists, Social Workers and Parent Support who provide superior care for our patients.
We use the latest equipment and most advanced technology available. Our unit is designed for private, patient-focused care that encourages family participation. Our NICU is nationally ranked for its high quality standards and positive outcomes.
