In addition to maternity care, this comprehensive community hospital offers emergency, surgical, laboratory and outpatient imaging services, including MRI and is the centralized location for pediatric and neuro rehabilitation for the region.
Orem Community Hospital embraces its role as a member of a diverse and growing community and is active in promoting wellness to the surrounding neighborhoods. Our 30+ acre campus is home to youth soccer fields and adult ultimate frisbee leagues. Many enjoy our one-mile, paved walking path and spacious grounds for family nights out. The crown jewel of our healthy campus in the community garden with its 44 raised beds where hundreds of Orem and Vineyard residents have been able to grow fresh produce each year since 2015.

Small in stature and footprint, Orem Community Hospital is large in its service to the community. Since opening as a maternity hospital in 1981, Orem Community Hospital has excelled in labor and delivery and has expanded to provide other needed services to the community.
1981
Orem Community Hospital opens as a maternity hospital.
1986
A 13,000-square-foot expansion makes Orem Community Hospital a full-service hospital with an emergency room, Women's Center, medical surgical, laboratory, X-ray, and health education services.
1995
The Central Orem Health Center addition is completed, along with the addition of an Intermountain WorkMed unit and the Utah Valley Pediatric Rehabilitation Center. A beautification of the campus begins with the addition of a jogging path around the campus and soccer fields in conjunction with Orem City.
2014
Orem Community Hospital gets a facelift, updating the look of the main entrance and clinic.
2015
With a commitment to encourage neighbors in Orem and Vineyard to live their healthiest lives, the hospital opens a community garden. The annual Harvest Good Health Festival is launched to celebrate the garden and provide healthy activities and screenings.
2016

2017
MRI services are added with the acquisition of a free-standing facility a few blocks from the hospital campus.
2020
Orem Community quickly responds to rapidly emerging needs during the Covid-19 pandemic. Offering space and staffing, along with leveraging community partnerships, to provide accessible testing to a diverse community.
2021
Construction begins on the expansion of pediatric rehab clinic and the lactation clinic was relocated to the main hospital for ease of use by mothers.

Volunteering
What better opportunity to serve than at a place dedicated to healing? We have a great need for volunteers. As a volunteer, you can serve, grow, learn, make new friends, exchange ideas, and contribute to our community.
What do volunteers do?
- Staff and operate the gift shop Greet and direct patients and visitors at the Lobby Information Desk
- Serve as liaison in the Emergency Room, Imaging, and Mom/Baby
- Deliver flowers and gifts to patients and work in the community garden.
How can I become a hospital volunteer?
- Be 14 years of age or older Complete an application. Application link will return after lifting of pandemic restrictions.
- Work a minimum of 4 hours a week
- Make a six-month commitment
- Comply with all health requirements for vaccinations and immunizations
- Complete new volunteer orientation
- Be able to complete the tasks required of the position
Applicants must complete an online application for a volunteer position. Volunteers 14-18 years old will need to meet our junior volunteer requirements. Placement will be made according to skill and availability of positions. Applicants can expect the application process to take at least three weeks.
