Compassionate care by our Certified Nurse Midwifes (CNM)

Our Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) partner with our obstetricians and gynecologists to provide safe, personalized care—from annual exams to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. They provide clinic visits for routine care and support hospital births for low‑risk pregnancies, with OB‑GYNs available if your needs change.

How CNMs and OB‑GYNs work together

  • CNMs manage low‑risk pregnancy, birth, and routine women’s health.
  • OB‑GYNs lead surgical care and high‑risk situations.
  • We collaborate so your care stays safe, seamless, and tailored to your needs.

What CNMs can do

  • Provide prenatal care, labor support, delivery for low‑risk pregnancies, and postpartum care.
  • Offer annual exams, birth control counseling, and menopause support—CNMs care for more than pregnancy.
  • Prescribe medications, order labs and imaging, and manage most aspects of women’s health for low‑risk patients.

Why choose CNM care

  • Comfortable, compassionate conversations about sensitive topics.
  • More time for questions and education during visits.
  • Shared decision‑making and culturally responsive care that respects your preferences.
