Intermountain Heart Institute Cardiology is now offering same-day appointments for patients who may benefit from prompt cardiovascular evaluation. This includes those needing follow-up after an emergency room visit or cardiac clearance before a surgical procedure.
When and where will I be seen?
When you call, we will try and accommodate a time and location that works best for you, depending on provider availability.
Are there times when I won't receive a same-day appointment?
Our priority is to ensure that people who have an urgent need to be seen by a physician are given appointments right away. It is possible that your appointment will be scheduled further out if you need a routine physical/annual wellness check-up, or if you need highly specialized care and your need is less urgent.
The time of day you call plays a factor as well. If you call before noon, we’ll offer you a same-day appointment. If you call after noon, we’ll offer you an appointment for the next day.
If your concern is immediate, we will advise you to visit an Emergency Department or InstaCare location.
