How can we help?
Soft downy hair called lanugo begins to cover the fetus's face and head. At this stage, some babies are even starting to grow eyebrows. The neck is more defined now, and the vocal cords are formed. Your baby can now make a fist.
If you've had morning sickness in your pregnancy, you may notice it easing up by now. You also may sense an uptick in your energy level.
Also, by now you may have a noticeable bulge in your lower abdomen. If you've been pregnant before, you might have been “showing” for several weeks already.
Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of fluids a day. This will help you stay hydrated and avoid constipation. It can also help settle a queasy stomach. Continue to avoid alcohol throughout your pregnancy. Medical experts agree there is no proven safe level of alcohol use in pregnancy.
