In today’s hectic world, people are too busy to be sick, too sick to wait for or find a doctor, or just want to receive care when and where they need it. That’s why at Intermountain Medical Group, we bring together 2,400 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, and 160 Intermountain Clinics, to provide patients with convenient access to high-quality healthcare. We coordinate preventive care and wellness services and manage treatment plans to help people throughout Utah live the healthiest lives possible.
Right Care at the Right Time
Usually the first point of contact for many patients are the Medical Group’s primary care physicians: Pediatricians, Family Medicine Physicians, Internists, or OB/GYNs. The Medical Group also has multi-specialty and comprehensive care clinics, urgent care clinics including InstaCare and KidsCare, and WorkMed occupational health clinics, which all help to ensure patients receive the most effective and appropriate medical services in the right settings and at the right time. Most clinics offer extended hours, full-service family care, radiology and laboratory services, and minor surgical procedures to deliver comprehensive workups and treatment. Our larger clinics also offer pharmacies and physical therapy services.
Care teams in the Medical Group are constantly leading efforts to improve clinical quality and healthcare delivery. Providers practice medicine through an integrated system where cooperative interchange between clinics, hospitals, and health plans are both rewarded and encouraged. This translates into greater coordination across the care continuum, ensuring that our patients feel truly cared for and supported throughout various care settings and transitions.
Personalized Primary Care
What’s also unique to Intermountain Medical Group is our personalized care. Each patient is placed at the center of a wide range of services and team of caregivers including physicians, care managers, educators, mental health providers, and other clinical specialists. Patients are encouraged to share in decision-making and be actively engaged in their health management and treatment plans, which ultimately leads to higher-quality care.
Patient Identification and Safety
Intermountain Medical Group values your safety. To make sure we provide the right care we will verify your identification at every encounter and we encourage you to ask that we’ve checked. We may also ask permission to take your photo or ask for photo ID to include in your medical record and improve our safety efforts.
