Western Colorado now has a new place to give the gift of life through blood donations. Vitalant, the nation's largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider, opened a new regional donation center in October.

St. Mary’s Medical Center has transitioned blood collection operations to Vitalant, ensuring the community's blood supply needs are met in the future. This new service will increase the supply and reliability of lifesaving blood products paving the way forward for these lifesaving donations to continue to positively impact the region for many years to come.

The new Vitalant Blood Donation Center is conveniently located at 561 25 Road, Suite 102B, in Grand Junction and is staffed with all the familiar faces community members have grown accustomed to seeing at St. Mary's, plus a few new ones.
