The New Sorenson Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders

Children being treated for cancer and blood disorders have new, private, kid-friendly infusion, outpatient, and inpatient rooms at Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital, as well as areas to play and hang out with family or friends, thanks to an $18 million gift from the Sorenson Legacy Foundation and the Joseph and Kathleen Sorenson Legacy Foundation.

In this video, Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital leaders, including Katy Welkie, CEO; Angelo Giardino, Chief Medical Officer; and Michael A. Pulsipher, Division Chief, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, present a virtual tour of the new facility, thank the Sorenson Foundation for their generous gift, and discuss the excellent care offered to children by caregivers at the Sorenson Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital.

Strengthening cancer care at Primary Children’s Hospital is one of the key ambitions of Intermountain Health’s more than $600 million Primary Promise to create the nation’s model health system for children.

Primary Promise continues our proud history of life-saving care enabled by community and philanthropy, and no one is more critical to the success of this vision than you and your team. You support our Primary Promise by providing extraordinary care to our patients and their families every day. You can support the campaign and Primary Children’s future by making a one-time personal donation or a recurring payroll deduction to Intermountain Foundation, and by sharing information with your teams and letting them know you are personally invested in this effort.
