What sets us apart

Nationally ranked care

Primary Children's Hospital was ranked as a best children's hospital for cancer care by US News for 2023-2024.

Advanced treatment

Using genetics and advanced research, our program leads the way for cancer treatment and care. To help your child receive the best care, we combine genetic insight into our pediatric cancer care. Which means your family can access expert genetic counselors, comprehensive cancer surveillance, and the latest research.

We were also among the first to offer chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy for high-risk leukemia.

Collaborative care team

Our cancer care team is made up of pediatric specialists who are experts in every aspect of childhood cancers. We will work with your family to guide you through treatment care options, manage side effects, provide emergency care, and offer support and education every step of the way.

Cancer resources and support

As your child undergoes cancer treatment, you might find that extra support is needed for you and your family. Our care team works with various organizations to offer resources and assistance to families navigating cancer care.

Family care

When your child is facing serious health challenges, we understand how crucial it is to support the entire family. Alongside our exceptional care, we want to help create a supportive environment by investing in family support services. Our team of physicians, therapists, child life specialists, teachers, and volunteers will be able to assist with therapeutic activities, positive distractions, social support, and additional family-focused resources.

Research

We strive to contribute to national and international groups dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer and their families. Our caregivers help set the best standards of care for pediatric cancer, and when appropriate, we can off your child the chance to participate in clinical trials. These trials aim at increasing cure rates, understanding the causes of cancer, and reducing the long-term effects of cancer and its treatments.
