  • Meet our team

In addition to our specialist, you will work closely with our pediatric colorectal care team. Meet the people who will support you throughout your time with us:

A pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) is a registered nurse with advanced training in caring for infants to young adults. PNPs diagnose illnesses, perform exams, prescribe medication, and will work with you to educate your family on a care plan that helps promote overall wellness.

Our clinic nurses review and help implement the treatment plan recommended for your child. They will assist you in understanding our bowel management program, provide education, and offer close follow-up care. They will also coordinate medical supplies, procedures, and imaging studies. Our clinic nurses will work with you closely to improve your child's quality of life.

Child life specialists help kids understand and manage their hospital and clinic experiences. Our specialist will work with you and your child to ease any fear, anxiety, or stress during exams or procedures. They also offer emotional support and teach relaxation and coping skills.

Our social workers collaborate with your care team to address your child's emotional and social needs. They can help you find community and school resources, assist with medication costs, and guide you through Medicare qualifications.

A dietitian will check your child's growth and nutritional health to help decide if nutrition services are needed. They work with the colorectal care team to help children with poor growth, nutrition issues, and those who need nutrition education.

Pelvic floor physical therapists will work with your child to help strengthen their pelvic muscles that control continence.
