We’re making some updates to several Intermountain Health clinics and services in the Western Slope area of Colorado so we can continue meeting the needs of our communities—today and in the years ahead. These decisions came after careful review of how patients access care and how services are used.

We know changes like this can raise questions. If your care is affected, our priority is to support you. The information on this page explains what’s changing, what it means for you, and the next steps to help you continue getting the care you need. Below are the clinics and services included in these updates.

The following clinics have changes to their services or providers.

Patterson Endocrinology Clinic Update

What is changing

Endocrinology services at Patterson Endocrinology Clinic will transition to Patterson Primary Care Clinic beginning in August 2026. Services at the current clinic location will be discontinued on July 24, 2026.

The following providers will also be transitioning away from the clinic:

Endocrinology services will continue at Patterson Primary Care Clinic:

Dr. Kevin Woodhams, a fellowship-trained endocrinologist, will begin seeing patients at this location in August.

Upcoming appointments

If you have an appointment scheduled on or after July 24, our team will contact you to help reschedule and transition your care.

Support during your transition

We are available to support your continued care and prescription needs.

For urgent needs, call the clinic, visit urgent care, or use telehealth.

For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Medical records

Your records will remain accessible to Intermountain Health providers through our secure system. If you choose a provider outside Intermountain Health, you may request copies by calling 303-467-4046.

What is changing

Intermountain Health will discontinue Obesity Medicine services at Western Colorado Obesity Management Clinic effective July 24, 2026. The clinic will remain open for other services.

Where to receive care going forward

Surgical Bariatric services will remain available at this clinic location.

Obesity Medicine services will be available through Intermountain Health primary care providers and clinics, as well as other healthcare providers in the community.
