I came in very concerned about some things that were real symptoms I was having. Davenport didn't listen to my concerns that weren't GI related. Which is totally understandable since he is a GI PA but he didn't acknowledge them or say anything about seeing my primary physician to look at them. He just ignored every thing I said other than the GI things. He was the first Dr/PA that I was mentioning these concerns too and little did he know I have been very worried and sick the last few weeks overthinking the worst. I didn't feel heard and held back tears because I was embarrassed like he didn't believe me. I've always loved going to him in the past so I'm not sure if it was just a bad day for him or If I overwhelmed him. I also work in healthcare so it was an eye opener for me to make sure every patient feels heard regardless if as the healthcare provider you know most of the time they're diagnosis (if any) isn't going to be bad.

Most doctors I've been to just want to put me on meds and be done but he validated my concern of not being on meds in order to continue with my daily life. He explained options clearly and validated me on what I was already doing.
