Bio

M. Sean Esplin, MD, is the Executive Medical Director-Women's Health Clinical Programs at Intermountain. Dr. Esplin completed his medical degree, residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah. Sean is an NIH funded scholar with areas of interest in genetic control of term and preterm labor and the role of inflammation and preterm birth. He has a clinical interest in the interpretation of fetal heart rate during labor and lectures at local and national meetings on this topic. He has been a co-investigator in several NIH funded multi-center networks.

Dr. Esplin did a fantastic job of offering me two options and asking my preference. I clearly had my options but wanted his expert option first, which he was more than willing to share and explain. Thankfully that matched my preference so he was happy to oblige.

I will never go back to this provider. He did not have my medical records and had horrible bedside manner. He just gave general information and did not make me feel taken care of. I left this appointment feeling worse then when I came in.
