As a maternal fetal medicine physician, I provide preconception care, management of high risk ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis as well as care of patients with pregnancies complicated by maternal health conditions and fetal complications.
Bio
M. Sean Esplin, MD, is the Executive Medical Director-Women's Health Clinical Programs at Intermountain. Dr. Esplin completed his medical degree, residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah. Sean is an NIH funded scholar with areas of interest in genetic control of term and preterm labor and the role of inflammation and preterm birth. He has a clinical interest in the interpretation of fetal heart rate during labor and lectures at local and national meetings on this topic. He has been a co-investigator in several NIH funded multi-center networks.
