I enjoy teaching the family practice residents. I feel that it is important to take the time necessary to help the patients understand their health problems and the options they have to treat those problems. I enjoy being with my family and participating in many sports such as water and snow skiing, hiking, motorcycle riding, running marathons, biking, scuba diving, and church work.

Brian Heaton has been very helpful to me thru the years. I worry that the increase in his caseload from taking on the patients of his former colleague may be a challenge, but he has very good PAs and uses them efffectively to assure the care of his patients.
