Dr Langston joined Southridge Pediatrics in 2018, where she has enjoyed meeting new families and watching her patients and their families grow. She especially loves caring for newborns in the hospital and clinic and helping new parents adjust to this monumental life change. Dr Langston enjoys caring for children of all ages, seeing them learn and grow and supporting parents through the joys and challenges of raising happy, healthy, thriving children and adolescents. She treats all sorts of pediatric medical problems and has a special interest in development, ADHD, asthma, eczema and other skin disorders.
Dr. Langston was born in SLC and raised in rural Utah. She had talented teachers and invested parents who fostered her interest in science and she decided as a teenager to become a pediatrician. She attended the University of Utah for her undergraduate degree in Human Development where she worked in the child development center and took classes on teaching and caring for sick children in the hospital. She then attended the University of Utah School of Medicine, enjoying each of her rotations but none more than when she worked with children. Dr. Langston also met and married her sweetheart during medical school. She graduated in 2007 and moved to Albuquerque for her residency training at the University of New Mexico. Dr Langston enjoyed working with colleagues and patients from many different cultural backgrounds at UNM. She and her husband spent time traveling throughout the state exploring the beauty and enjoying the delicious culinary diversity. She completed her residency in 2010 and spent some extra time in the Newborn ICU prior to returning to Salt Lake City to work at Primary Children's Hospital. As a pediatric hospitalist, Dr Langston spent most of her time at the Riverton Hospital Primary Children's Unit caring for sick children, attending high risk deliveries, caring for sick newborns and consulting in the emergency room. She and her husband have three young children that keep them quite busy. They are teaching their children to love art, reading, music and dancing. They enjoy all outdoor activities, but especially hiking and biking, as well as camping and boating all over Utah with family and friends.
