Hospital foundations make it possible to help people close to home. When you contribute to our foundation, your donation is invested locally in nonprofit facilities and programs that directly help people in our community.
Our foundation promotes our mission to reveal and foster God’s healing love by improving the health of the people and communities we serve, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

Memorial and tribute gifts can be made in a variety of ways:
- To make a secure gift online with a credit or debit card and include the name of the person you wish to memorialize or tribute and the contact information for anyone you wish us to notify of your gift.

Real Estate
The St. James Healthcare Foundation accepts gifts of real estate, including houses, condominiums, commercial properties, farmland, rental property, and undeveloped land after a thorough review of the property and its potential usage by the foundation. Prior to the acceptance of any parcel of real property, as a minimum, a Phase 1 environmental assessment of the potential environmental risks will be conducted. For all gifts of real estate, the Gift Acceptance Committee will review the results of such assessment and recommend to the appropriate administrators and Board Committees whether the gift should be accepted.
Stocks & Appreciated Securities
One way to boost your charitable contributions is to give shares of appreciated assets, including stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, art and real property.
They are easily valued without an appraisal, and easy to transfer. Donating appreciated securities before they are sold typically results in a tax advantage. A tax deduction is normally allowed based on the market value at the time of the gift. Since the deduction is based on current value, rather than cost, no tax is paid on the appreciation.
All gifts will be reviewed by the foundation’s Board of Directors for compliance with our policies before being accepted.
Caring Spirit Giving Campaign
Intermountain Health Caregivers give every day by providing the best care possible. One additional way they can give is by participating in the annual Caring Spirit Giving Campaign. Through caregiver donations, we can help caregivers and patients in need and provide training and education to our fellow caregivers.
Caregivers can participate in a variety of ways. They can: make a one-time gift online, donate unused PTO hours, set-up a recurring payroll deduction or join the Hour Club (a way to recognize caregivers who make a gift commitment of at least one hour of their pay or more per pay period for one year or 26 payroll deductions). If you are an Intermountain Health Caregiver, please visit CaringSpirit.org to donate and/or learn more.
