The anticipation of the birth of a baby is exciting, but it can often come with questions. At American Fork Hospital, we want all parents to feel prepared for the birth of their baby.

About Our Classes

We provide a variety of childbirth classes and prenatal education to help parents prepare and learn how to properly care for a newborn. Each class features multiple topics and is taught by a nurse educator. With the exception of the online class, all our classes are offered at the hospital, giving you a chance to get comfortable with your birthing location. Our online prenatal class is perfect for parents who prefer to go at their own pace, or for those who have busy schedules.

Our courses include:

  • 4 Week Lamaze Class
  • 4 Week Prenatal Class
  • Breastfeeding Class
  • Prenatal Seminar
  • Online Prenatal Class

Who Should Take a Class?

Our childbirth education and prenatal classes are perfect for:

  • Expecting mothers
  • Fathers
  • Birthing coaches
  • Mothers needing assistance with breastfeeding, or who have lactation concerns

We encourage mothers to take a prenatal class early in the second trimester.
