An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is usually a physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner. They help support your radiologist in diagnosing and managing your care. APPs in Imaging Services have special training in radiology.

Imaging nurses are Registered Nurses (RNs) who have specific training in the care and recovery of imaging procedural patients. They help with any sedation you may need for imaging.

Imaging Technologists

Your Imaging Technologists plays a key role in your journey.

Imaging technologists have specialized training in imaging techniques. They help your radiologist diagnose your condition

Critical Care Techs

Your Critical Care Techs plays a key role in your journey.

Critical care techs help your imaging technologists and imaging nurses with your care, including monitoring your condition and placing IVs.

Referring Providers

We provide a streamlined scheduling experience using our Intermountain full-service scheduling system, which reduces admin burden and gets results back to the provider faster.

If you’re ordering a study, PAMA (Protecting Access to Medicare Act) requires an algorithm review to make sure it’s a needed test and then assigns a number to the case, which will be needed for scheduling the patient.

Expanded Care

Intermountain Healthcare offers expanded services outside the hospital including Telehealth, Genomics, and Homecare. Within Intermountain’s continuum of care, these services play a key role in allowing patients to receive the best care possible in a variety of settings and circumstances.
