Our Philosophy of Care

The midwifery model places an emphasis on patient-centered care through shared decision making, ensuring you are an active participant in your pregnancy or gynecological care. Our midwives will work with you to identify your values and present information and education regarding all of your options. Together we will collaborate to make the best decisions for you and your family.

At the heart of midwifery is the belief that pregnancy and childbirth are a normal process in a woman’s life, and we want to guide you and your family through pregnancy, labor and delivery, as well as provide helpful preparation for parenting.

We aim to create a calm birth space where you are able to move freely and use hydrotherapy if desired. While many of our clients have unmedicated births, we gladly assist those who desire an epidural or other pain management options. We have many tools to support clients in a variety of labor and birth positions with or without an epidural.
