"The Future Is Bright"
Transforming Cancer Care Through Precision Genomics
"The future of cancer care is really bright. It is full of new targeted drugs, immunotherapy, and we see the potential of making cancer a chronic disease, not an end." - Derrick Haslem, MD, Intermountain Precision Genomics, Director of Medical Oncology, Dixie Regional Medical Center
What is Precision Cancer Genomics?
At the forefront of personalized cancer treatment, Precision Cancer Genomics offers a new approach to treating cancer. It is a fundamental shift from traditional cancer treatment. It has been proven to increase the lifespan of late-stage cancer patients at a lower cost than traditional methods. Intermountain Healthcare has been studying precision medicine extensively for the past several years, and has developed its nationally leading Precision Cancer Genomics program, located at Dixie Regional Medical Center, here in St. George, Utah.
