We offer specialized treatment for melanoma and other skin cancers, including advanced basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas, Markel cell carcinomas, and other rare tumors of the skin.

We strive to provide outstanding care to skin cancer patients throughout the state of Utah and surrounding areas. We work to advance skin cancer research to benefit all patients.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes surgical oncologists, dermatopathologists, and a robust clinical trials program, which meets bi-monthly to plan a coordinated approach to patient care. We also maintain close contact with your primary physician and coordinate care close to your home whenever possible.

Our fellowship-trained surgical oncologists have expertise in the surgical removal of primary tumors occurring anywhere on the skin, as well as sentinel lymph node biopsies and lymph node dissections. We also work closely with our plastic surgery colleagues when reconstruction is needed.

Prevention

We are also actively involved in efforts to prevent skin cancer. We periodically offer free skin cancer screening clinics. We promote legislation that limits tanning bed use for minors. Plus, we participate in a melanoma survivors' support group.

How we compare

Intermountain Cancer Centers treat about 36 percent of all skin cancer cases in Utah.
