Chaplain

Your Chaplain plays a key role in your journey.

Chaplains have specialized training to provide compassionate, non-denominational spiritual support focused on what brings meaning, purpose, and value during your health journey.

Nurse

Your Nurse plays a key role in your journey.

Palliative-care-trained nurses support you by helping to coordinate your care. They assist with communication among all your health care team and are available to answer questions.

Physician/Advanced Practice Provider

Your Physician/Advanced Practice Provider plays a key role in your journey.

Board Certified palliative care physicians and advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants) at Intermountain diagnose and treat patients at every stage of their serious or chronic illness and can refer patients for additional resources and treatments.

Social Worker

Your Social Worker plays a key role in your journey.

Our licensed clinical social workers provide emotional support to help you and your family cope with a serious illness. In addition to therapy, our social workers are trained to provide community resources to aid in your care.

Intermountain’s Palliative Care department has complete multidisciplinary teams to support your patient’s body, mind, and spirit. We not only support challenging symptoms, but we provide many touchpoints throughout one’s medical journey. We partner with specialists to give your patients the best support possible for their serious or chronic illness. Palliative care is proven to increase quality of life and is recommended by national organizations for oncology and other health-based organizations. Plus, Intermountain is the only nearby network with a home-based program to support patients through their health journey.
