Dr. Wayment is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in both mental health and behavioral health, with an emphasis on delivering care in integrated primary care settings. Mental health encompasses many aspects of an individual's mental, emotional, and cognitive functioning. Behavioral health includes mental health, but also includes any behaviors that impact an individual's overall physical or mental functioning, such as sleep, diet, weight, and substance use, among others.Dr. Wayment began his career at Intermountain laboratory services, where he worked as a laboratory technician for 7 years before returning to school to earn his doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. In graduate school, Dr. Wayment's training, research, and clinical practice focused on improving patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Wayment also completed his internship and post-doctoral residency in integrated behavioral health, working with individuals across the lifespan and in pediatric, family medicine, and internal medicine offices. Dr. Wayment enjoys evaluating and treating patients for both mental and behavioral health needs in both children and adults. He is passionate about making mental and behavioral health services a standard part of primary care, helping to reduce stigma and improve access to critical services for patients across their lifespan. Dr. Wayment enjoys working with children and adults with anxiety, depression, and other mental health needs, in addition to helping them improve their physical health through behavior change. Dr. Wayment, an Ogden, Utah native, enjoys the outdoors, cooking, golf, music, and spending time with his wife and four children.
