Overview

This quaint Utah County Park features a 1-mile paved loop trail that is perfect for a leisurely bike ride an evening stroll or a morning run. The park also features a playground pavilions and multiple sports fields. This trail is wheelchair and stroller accessible and is suitable for children and adults of all ages and abilities.

Trailhead

Lakeside Sports Park is located at 400 South 1850 West in Orem, UT. To reach the park from I-15 in Orem:

  1. Take Exit 271 for Center Street in Orem.
  2. Drive west on Center Street for 0.4 miles to Geneva Road.
  3. Turn left (south) onto Geneva Road.
  4. Continue 0.5 miles to 400 South.
  5. Turn right (west) onto 400 South.
  6. Continue 0.2 miles to Lakeside Sports Park on the right.

The Route

From the parking area, begin walking north toward the soccer fields. Turn left and begin walking the paved trail as it traverses the edge of the fields. After a short distance the trail turns north and then east as it follows along the backside of the adjacent neighborhood. A multitude of trees along the trail provide a shady place to stop and take a break.

On the east end of the park, the trail turns south following Vineyard Road a short distance. Turn right at a ‘T’ next to the baseball diamonds to complete the loop. To extend the walk, you can continue hiking south along Vineyard to the south end of the diamonds, and then back up to your starting point.

  • Dogs allowed on leash.
  • Clean up after pets.
  • Pack out all trash.
