Dr. Azevedo grew up in Arizona and lived in Brazil for a year after meeting her husband. She was accepted for medical school to the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, San Antonio Texas. When she isn’t practicing medicine, she loves being in the outdoors hiking, skiing, traveling, and playing board games with her family.
University of Utah Medical School
Dr. Bishop grew up in Rigby, Idaho. He attended the University of Utah School of Medicine. His professional interests include full-spectrum family medicine and preventative medicine. Outside of medicine he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, enjoying French cuisine, watching BYU sports, and playing badminton.
Medical University of South Carolina
Dr. Braak worked in the United States Army Reserves for 8 years before going to Temple University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania for undergraduate. Afterward, he went to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston South Carolina for medical school. He enjoys hiking, running, and skiing in his spare time.
A.T. Still University SOMA
Dr. Higgins is from Elk Grove California and Honolulu Hawaii. She attended University of Hawaii at Manoa for her undergraduate where she majored in Pre-sports medicine. Dr. Higgins has a very supportive, encouraging husband whom she met while they both were athletes at the University of Hawaii. They have one son that they just love and adore. Dr. Higgins medical interests include women's health, pediatrics, diabetes education, sports medicine. When Dr. Higgins isn’t practicing medicine, she enjoys trying new foods, cooking new recipes, working out, hanging out with my family, going to the beach, and being outdoors.

Dr. Lindsay grew up in Cedar City, Utah and did his undergraduate at Southern Utah University. Dr. Lindsay is interested in full spectrum family medicine, but particularly interested in mental health, addiction medicine, and sports medicine. Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, traveling, fishing, and epic game nights.
Liberty University College
Dr. Mitchell grew up in Roosevelt, Utah a rural town in an eastern part of the state. Growing up he enjoyed fishing, backpacking, snowboarding, and playing sports. His passion for medicine started from his father who was a rural family medicine doctor and serving a 2-year church mission in Florianopolis, Brazil after graduating high school. While in Brazil, he developed a special love for the Brazilian culture and looks forward to continuing to us the Portuguese language to better serve patients. While earning his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho, he married his wife. After graduating college, he enrolled at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lynchburg, Virginia for medical school. Patrick chose Family Medicine because he imagined a career that has close ties to the community and wants to serve patients of all ages and backgrounds. Patrick, his wife and three children enjoy having easy access to beautiful places to visit and explore while also having the amenities of a big city, especially when that city is Provo UT, home to the greatest college team in the country BYU! He is honored to be part of Utah Valley Family Medicine Residency due to their dedication to serving their diverse patient population.
Dr. Moberg grew up in Moses Lake, WA. He attended BYU for his undergraduate degree and Liberty University for medical school. His professional interests include full-spectrum family medicine with a special interest in working with underserved populations. He enjoys endurance sports, basketball, football, and spending as much time as possible with his beautiful wife and four children.
Dr. Nelson was raised in Lookout Mountain Tennessee and did her undergraduate at Furman University. She is interested in women’s health and when she isn’t practicing medicine, she enjoys cooking, baking, and bothering her cat, as well as any activity outside, especially skiing!
