Intermountain Healthcare has nearly 40,000 caregivers who are our most important resource and central in efforts to fulfill Intermountain's mission.

  1. Benefits. Intermountain provides comprehensive benefits that supplement earnings to provide a competitive total compensation package, including insurance, retirement and savings, and other services to help caregivers balance work and personal life.
    • Health and welfare benefits. A variety of benefits are offered to help caregivers and their families stay healthy, including health, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disability insurance coverage.
    • Retirement benefits. Our retirement program offers a Savings Plus 401(k) Plan with matching contributions.
    • Time-off benefits. We provide a generous Paid Time Off program to assist caregivers in achieving a healthy work/life balance.
    • LiVe Well prevention and wellness programs. Under the “LiVe Well” banner, we offer a number of programs that encourage and empower caregivers and their families to pursue healthy lifestyles.
  2. Training and education. Intermountain provides an educational assistance program for college or university. Caregivers can also take clinical, self-help, leadership, and communications courses through Intermountain University.
  3. Family-friendly. Intermountain believes that if caregivers can meet life’s challenges at home, they will better serve patients and customers at work.
  4. Compensation. Intermountain follows these policies in compensating caregivers:
    • Market-competitive. Compensation at Intermountain for all caregivers is designed to be market-competitive to attract and retain quality employees.
    • Set by trustees. Intermountain’s Board of Trustees has a Compensation Committee that reviews compensation policies for senior management to ensure they are consistent with goals and community orientation.
    • Performance-based. For senior managers, a significant percentage of compensation depends on the achievement of goals established by the Board of Trustees.
  5. Equal Opportunity Employer. Intermountain recruits, promotes, assigns, compensates, and trains applicants and caregivers for all job classifications without regard to age, disability, gender, gender identity, national origin, ethnicity, race or color, religion, sexual orientation, genetic information, or protected military or veteran status.
