Intermountain Research and Medical Foundation (IRMF) provides support for a wide variety of causes throughout the Intermountain Central Region. We aspire to improve the quality of healthcare throughout the world.
In 1970, a group of physicians dedicated to promoting medical research organized the Intermountain Research and Medical Foundation (formerly the Deseret Foundation) at LDS Hospital. We have grown since then, now encompassing five Salt Lake Valley hospitals:
What We Support
We support Intermountain Healthcare’s mission to helping people live the healthiest lives possible, through the use of philanthropy. Our vision is to create a culture of philanthropy through fundraising, events, backing important research opportunities, and providing support to underserved individuals receiving care at Intermountain Healthcare’s not-for-profit hospitals in the Salt Lake Valley.
Miracles occur every day because of our generous donors and community members. People are receiving state-of-the-art cancer treatments, having healthier babies, and recovering from injuries more quickly – in short, living longer and healthier lives.
We support medical research, charity housing, and education. Some of the recent events offered have included the AMICUS Open Golf Tournament, which supported the Arthritis Program at TOSH; the Legacy of Life Dinner and Gala, which supported Cardiovascular Research; and the Holiday Quilt Show Dinner and Auction, which raised funds for medical research.
