The Mesa Room is the first of our 2 birth rooms. Its cozy, home-like atmosphere is the perfect place for our moms to relax and focus during labor. Your Bloomin' Babies birth team will include a certified nurse midwife, a registered nurse, and a third team member who may be another midwife or nurse, a student midwife, or a trained birth assistant. We encourage you to bring music, oils to diffuse, and any other items from home that will enhance your comfort.

The Monument room is the exact same layout as the other birth room, just flipped. If both rooms are available when you go into labor, take your pick! We employ more natural methods of pain control at the birth center such as hydrotherapy. Tens units, aroma therapy, labor support, exercise balls, peanut balls, birth stools, freedom of movement, and a birth hammock/swing for support. We also offer nitrous oxide for those who need additional pain control. If at any time you or your midwife feel like an epiural is indicated, you always have the option of transferring to St. Mary's Hospital for your birth.

Apart from an emergency, there is no need to call for an ambulance.Your midwife will meet you at the hospital, and she will still be the one who directs your care and catches your baby.
