Well Woman Care and Annual Exams

Bloomin’ Babies Birth Center provides women’s health services for all women of all ages in the Grand Junction, Western Slope, and eastern Utah area similar to that of a family practitioner or gynecologist.

We offer annual exams to suit your needs from puberty to childbearing years to menopause and beyond. Your annual exam with a midwife always includes time to answer your questions and concerns. We can also help you with family planning and birth control, as well as perimenopausal and menopausal care.

First appointment for teens

We all remember that “first time” seeing a care provider for a grown-up physical exam.  We were scared, embarrassed and really just wanted it to be over.  We understand these feelings and do our best to put you at ease. Most of the time, a vaginal exam isn’t even necessary.

During this first appointment, we talk about your needs, answer your questions, and help you to recognize this as a special time in your life.

Well woman care

Pregnancy care is not the only care midwives can provide.  We are available for your annual woman exams as well.  The recommendations for pap tests has changed and with that change, fewer paps may be necessary.

A woman’s health needs change as she goes through life, and midwives can help you manage those changes.

  • Looking for a different form of birth control?
  • Starting to experience hot flashes?
  • Periods becoming irregular?

Most of these changes can be managed by the midwives at Bloomin’ Babies Birth Center.
