At Intermountain Medical Center, our certified nurse midwives provide midwifery, family planning and gynecology services. Their focus is on general wellness and supporting each patient’s choices.
Not just any midwife can provide care in our hospital. The Certified Nurse Midwives with permissions to provide care at Intermountain Medical Center have all completed extensive training. All are highly-trained registered nurses who hold masters or doctorate degrees and have met national certification requirements, including a national board examination, and continue to learn more on a continual basis.
Services offered by our nurse midwives:
- Childbirth in the hospital with physician consultation when necessary.
- Prenatal and postpartum care.
- Gynecology and general women's healthcare, including screening exams, family planning, menopause counseling, and treatment of vaginal and bladder issues.
