100 years of pediatric nursing
Primary Children’s Hospital opened it’s doors on May 11, 1922, and since it’s founding we’ve been driven by our Primary Promise: to keep The Child First and Always. Everything we do, every decision we make is about what’s best for the child, now, and forever. Each year, we care for 100,000 children regardless of the ability to pay. Our Salt Lake City campus has the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in the Intermountain West, serving more than 400,000 square miles. We have expertise in 60 pediatric specialties and provide care for children with the most complex injuries and illnesses. We’re honored to be part of Intermountain Healthcare, a nationally recognized not-for-profit healthcare system, and are grateful for our valuable partnership with the University of Utah School of Medicine. We’re excited for the opportunity to celebrate our first 100 years, but above all, we’re grateful to renew commitment to put The Child First and Always for the next century to come. Together, we’ll continue to improve the health of our nation, one child, family, and community at a time.
