Intermountain Healthcare and Primary Children's Hospital Outpatient Diabetes Program's Project ECHO Diabetes in School: Safety, Technology, Tools, Education, and Management (STTEM).

Project ECHO trains community providers through a technology based collaborative learning methods to address specialty care-level health concerns. During the monthly session, subject matter experts will deliver a didactic with up to date information on various topics related to Diabetes Management in School. In addition, participants are able to present their own cases and collaborate to choose the best method of care for their student based on best practices.

Project ECHO trains community providers through a technology based collaborative learning methods to address specialty care-level health concerns. During the monthly session, subject matter experts will deliver a didactic with up to date information on various topics related to Diabetes Management in School. In addition, participants are able to present their own cases and collaborate to choose the best method of care for their student based on best practices.

Project ECHO's collaborative learning methods have been shown to improve patient health outcomes and provider confidence in treating patients in their communities. This new ECHO Project will address gaps in education and care in School Based Diabetes Management for School Nurses, Aides, and others who assist in the care of Diabetes Management.
