Classes are contingent on the current COVID-19 situation, CDC recommendation and are subject to change. If classes need to be altered you will be notified. You will be asked to wear a mask while attending in-person classes
This FREE six-week class for people with long-term pain will teach participants how to:
- Manage pain and symptoms
- Handle difficult emotions
- Problem solve effectively
- Work with a healthcare team
- Use medication as directed
- Set weekly goals
The class is based on a program developed by Stanford University and held at various Intermountain Healthcare locations. Each location will hold its own six-week class. The day of the week that a class begins is the same day of the week that each subsequent class session will be held.
Benefits of the class
Studies have found that people who have participated in this pain management program have more vitality or energy, less pain, less dependence on others, improved mental health, are more involved in everyday activities, and are more satisfied with their lives compared to those who have not participated in the program.

The course is available for ages 18 and over. Please do not bring children.
