McKay-Dee Hospital is a 319-bed community hospital that acts as a full-service, tertiary, acute care referral center. The hospital is known for nationally-ranked health programs including cardiovascular thoracic, newborn ICU, and oncology. Weber county has a fast-growing population which has led to recent expansion of existing clinical services lines including behavioral health, trauma, neurology, and intensive care. The PGY1 residency program began in 2003 and offers eleven on-site rotations for the two PGY1 resident positions. Clinical pharmacists staff in ten de-centralized inpatient areas in addition to the central pharmacy, outpatient oncology center, and the medical resident ambulatory clinic. Pharmacists are well-integrated into the multi-disciplinary care team and are very involved in rounding, care coordination, and consult services.
