About David N. Burrow

About The Provider

Dr. David Burrow is a short-term behavioral health consultant for Intermountain Health's Mental Health Integration (MHI) program. He works within the medical setting to provide mental health services alongside your established primary care physician or specialist. MHI treatment is a short-term approach to help you manage mental health symptoms that may be impacting your quality of life. You will meet for up to 3-6 sessions. Patients who wish to see Dr. Burrow must be referred by a primary care provider at one of the clinics where Dr. Burrow works. During treatment, the clinic team communicates with each other to make sure you're getting the care you need. If you need additional support at the end of your treatment with this provider, we will assist with a referral to a long-term mental health provider. If you need to meet with a psychiatrist but do not have a primary care provider at one of Dr. Burrow’s clinics, or if you expect to need behavioral health care longer than 3-6 months, please discuss other options with your primary care provider or call Intermountain Health’s Behavioral Health Navigation  Service at 833-442-2211 for help scheduling with other services.

Dr. Burrow was born in Utah and eagerly returned to practice here after completing his training in Tennessee and Ohio. He never feels more at home than when he is surrounded by Utah’s beautiful mountains. He loves being a psychiatrist, and particularly enjoys working with our primary care clinicians to support them in providing excellent, whole-patient care to our communities.

Dr. Burrow focuses on short-term treatment of adult patients with mental health conditions in consultation with their primary care clinicians, with a particular interest in caring for patients in rural communities. He also has experience treating patients before, during, and after their pregnancies.
