About The Provider
Dr. Erik Rupard is a hematology-oncology provider at Intermountain Health's Cancer Center in St. George. He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology and has been the principal investigator for various clinical trials.
Dr. Rupard earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Maryland. He then completed an internal medicine residency and a hematology-oncology fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
He is an assistant professor at Drexel University College of Medicine in Reading, Pennsylvania, and served as Chief of the Hematology-Oncology Service at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Georgia. In 2011, he was honorably discharged from the United States Army and was a combat veteran (Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he led the 81st Troop Medical Clinic, ensuring the Iraq surge). Before joining Intermountain Healthcare, Dr. Rupard served ten years as Chief of Hematology/Oncology at the McGlinn Cancer Institute in Reading, Pennsylvania.

It was apparent Dr. Rupard took the time to study my dad's history before our video conference. He listened to our concerns and addressed our questions. He even studied my dad's medication list and was able to provide valuable recommendations to us about how to proceed. My dad and I both left the office feeling hopeful that my dad's situation could be improved on! Thank you, Dr. Rupard for your time!
