About our program
The PGY2 Thrombosis and Hemostasis Management (THM) residency at Intermountain Medical Center provides training with clinicians in a variety of clinical specialty areas with a focus on thrombosis and hemostasis management. The resident will work with patients along the continuum of care from the acute care to outpatient settings and participate in system clinical workflows. The resident will focus their training at Intermountain Medical Center and work with nationally recognized experts in the field. The focus of our program is to develop residents into highly skilled pharmacists, fully integrated within the healthcare team and able to lead system anticoagulation efforts. The program includes participation in a biweekly educational seminar with other THM residency sites across the country to provide additional learning and presenting opportunities, as well as networking and professional development.
This dynamic residency program provides an ideal environment to improve clinical knowledge and practice evidence-based medicine, interact in multidisciplinary teams, improve communication and ability to manage complex patients. Residents will get vast experience in research, quality improvement, precepting, and presenting in various formats. Graduates of this residency program will possess the skills necessary to be highly competitive for career opportunities in a variety of settings.
