This FREE virtual six-week class will teach attendees how to manage their pain and symptoms, handle difficult emotions, and more.
This course covers the growth and development of a newborn, safety tips, newborn care at home, how to recognize when a baby is ill and when to call a doctor.
The Post-Partum Support Classes at McKay-Dee Hospital are 1-hour each. Babies in arms, mothers, fathers, and support partners, are welcome to come. Parents may participate during pregnancy or at any time after their baby's birth. These classes are free and are made possible by the McKay Dee Hospital Foundation Teen Parent program, however, new parents of all ages are welcome to attend. Each class will have a topic of discussion presented by a specialized health care provider for the first 30-45 minutes of the class. The last section of the class is open for discussion and questions for any post-partum topics you would like to address. Please register for each class you would like to participate in so we can plan on your attendance.
This is a very fun and highly specialized pregnancy and post-partum yoga and strengthening class taught by an RN, Childbirth Educator, certified in pre and postnatal fitness. Specific yoga poses, strengthening exercises, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods are taught. The curriculum is designed to help mothers prepare their body for birth, and aid with the recovery and strengthening afterwards. The techniques may also help relieve physical emotional discomforts that often occur during pregnancy and through the first year after birth.
The Childbirth Preparation class is taught by a Registered Nurse. In this class you'll learn about pregnancy changes, pain management options, breathing and relaxation, labor and delivery, infant feeding options, postpartum adjustments and newborn care.
This course is designed to help women achieve a deep state of relaxation during childbirth.

This class is designed to prepare expectant mothers for breastfeeding.
Infant CPR is for new parents, grandparents, family members and anyone who wants to learn lifesaving infant CPR and choking skills but does not need a course completion card.
The Breastfeeding class is designed to prepare expectant mothers for breastfeeding and is taught by our Board Certified Lactation Consultants and specialized Lactation Registered Nurses. We encourage a support person to attend with mom.
The Baby Care course helps parents prepare for having a newborn at home and is taught by a Registered Nurse nationally certified in Childbirth Education.
