Way to Wellness Full Program
Way to Wellness is a one-year program for adults who want to lose weight and/or manage their health with lifestyle changes. The entire program consists of 23 group and individual sessions led by a registered dietitian.

Sessions review a variety of topics including:
- Eating and nutrition
- Physical activity
- Stress management
- Cooking
- Behavior change
- Sleep
- Grocery shopping
- And more!
What are my options for coverage?
There are 3 options to pay for the program:
- Self-pay. You pay for the entire program out of pocket.
- Insurance. Your insurance may provide coverage.
- Scholarship. Scholarships may be offered based on eligibility and availability.
How often and how long are classes?
The program consists of 20 group sessions and 3 one on one appointments with a registered dietitian.
The first 16 sessions include 14 group sessions and 2 one on ones that occur weekly or every other week during the first 6 months.During the second 6 months, there are 6 group sessions and 1 one on one that happen about once a month.
All group sessions take place on the same day of the week and last 90 minutes. One on ones with the RD are scheduled and take about 60 minutes.
What if I miss a class?
If you happen to miss a class, we do allow for make ups. You will receive the schedule and all class dates in advance and hopefully can plan ahead as well.
If you are unable to attend a majority of the sessions at this time, our Way to Wellness Bites class may be a good fit. It is a one time class covering a variety of health topics. For more information check out our website.
Does my insurance cover?
To know if your insurance covers our program, the best thing to do is to call your insurance and ask if they cover one of the following codes:
- S9449 for Select Health members
- 0403T for all other commercial insurance members
- G9886 or G9887 for Medicare members
What are the goals of the program?
- Attend all 23 sessions of the program
- Lose 5-7% of starting weight by the end of the program
- Work up to participating in 150 minutes of physical activity a week
- Monitor and trach your food intake and physical activity
- Make lifestyle changes the promote long term healthy habits
