Steven Wheelwright, D.O.
Steven Wheelwright, DO, is an OB/GYN who offers the full range of women’s healthcare from prenatal care and deliveries to the intricacies of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He has extensive training in complex, minimally invasive surgery and robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Wheelwright sees a wide range of patients for general gynecology issues as well as infertility evaluations, evaluation and treatment for painful periods or heavy menstrual bleeding, and treatment of uterine and bladder prolapse and urinary incontinence. He is also skilled in other gynecologic surgical procedures such as labiaplasty and hymenectomy. Additionally, Dr. Wheelwright manages and enjoys all range of low-risk and high-risk obstetrics.
A Utah native, Dr. Wheelwright was a presidential scholar at the University of Utah, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Arizona.
He then completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (a highly-ranked and respected program for gynecology). Dr. Wheelwright is committed and trained to use minimally invasive treatments and techniques to help his patients experience less pain during recovery and quickly return to normal activities. He is committed to offering patients the most up-to-date, evidence-based options for their health.
Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Brie, and their six boys, including a set of identical twins. His wife, Brianne (Jardine) grew up in cache valley and they are thrilled to return here to practice and raise their family. He is also an avid sports car enthusiast with dreams of rally racing one day. He is a movie buff and soccer fan, and also enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping and snowboarding.
