It can feel impossible to plan for the number and spacing of your children. Family planning gives you the opportunity to do just that, with the help of skilled doctors. Our gynecologists at Intermountain OB/GYN Specialists are experts in the area of birth control, infertility, childbirth, and assisting in the delay or achievement of a pregnancy. In addition, our family planning services offer community outreach, education, and healthcare to those interested in comprehensive reproductive health education.
If you have been unable to get pregnant for over a year (or six months for women over the age of 35), or have had multiples miscarriages, it may be time to see make an appointment with us. During your first visit, we will review your health history, and do an initial workup. This visit will give us a better idea of why you are not getting pregnant. From there we can recommend more tests for you or your partner, and/or treatment.
These tests and treatments may include:
- Blood tests to check for STD’s, hormone levels, and ovulation
- Vaginal ultrasound and exam
- Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)
- Oral ovulation medications
- Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
- Semen Analysis (for men)
- Contraception
