We treat all the main types of hepatobiliary cancers.

  • Liver cancer. This is a cancer that starts in the cells of your liver. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common type of liver cancer and is sometimes called hepatoma.
  • Pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is cancer of the pancreas, an organ that sits behind your stomach. The pancreas makes hormones and fluids that help your body digest food.
  • Gallbladder cancer. Gallbladder cancer begins in the gallbladder, part of the digestive system, and can spread to other body parts. The gallbladder is a small pouch that stores bile.

For very advanced liver tumors, we specialize in an advanced technique called the ALPPS procedure, which stands for Associating Liver Partition and Portal vein Ligation for Staged hepatectomy. ALPPS enables the removal of advanced tumors in two steps by using the human liver's regenerative capability in a short period of time.
