Common questions about cancer survivorship

Learn about survivorship care plans, follow-up care, and wellness support for life after cancer.

Cancer survivorship includes the time during and after cancer treatment. Life after cancer can include physical changes, emotional stress, and questions about what to do next. Survivorship services help you address these needs with follow‑up care, wellness support, and a plan that fits your life.
A survivorship care plan is a roadmap for your follow‑up care after treatment. It often includes a summary of your treatment, recommended screenings, and guidance for managing symptoms or long‑term effects. If you don’t have one yet, your care team can help you understand what should be included.
Follow‑up care helps monitor your recovery, address ongoing symptoms, and watch for long‑term effects of cancer treatment. It also creates space to talk about cancer fatigue management, mental health after cancer, and practical concerns like returning to work. If you’re unsure where to start, finding a survivorship clinic near you is a helpful first step.
