Understanding Your Bills
Primary Children’s Hospital is a part of Intermountain Healthcare, a nonprofit healthcare system, and is the pediatric specialty teaching hospital for the University of Utah School of Medicine. Because of this special relationship, you mayreceive more than one bill associated with your child’s care. Services provided by the facility will be billed by Intermountain Healthcare. Services provided by the physician will be billed separately by University Medical Billing.
For example, if your clinic visit includes an echocardiogram, it will generate a technical fee that will be billed by the hospital. The cardiologist’s professional interpretation of the echocardiogram will be billed by University Medical Billing.
Paying Your Bill
You can pay both your Intermountain Healthcare and University bills online or over the phone.
Financial Assistance
We believe that financial concerns should not prevent children and families from receiving medical care. If you are experiencing financial hardship or are otherwise unable to pay the full balance of your bill, both Intermountain Healthcare and University Medical Billing provide financial assistance programs for those that qualify.
