Celebrating our first 100 days in Lehi

-Lisa Paletta, President, Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital, Miller Family Campus

It’s been 100 days since we opened the second campus of Primary Children’s Hospital, the most important event for children of the Intermountain West in over a century.

For 100 days, we've been here in Utah County at the Miller Family Campus providing timely care and a sense of security to the local community.

Here’s what our first 100 days has looked like by the numbers:

  • Clinic Visits - 16,311

  • Patients - 4,092

  • Surgical Cases -1,503

  • Emergency Department Visits - 4,455

We have had an outpouring of support from our community, with over 134 donations and 117 volunteers serving in 18 different departments. Just last month, volunteers provided 1,231 hours of service at our hospital. Therapy dogs have visited our patients 408 times

We have continued to have significant milestones since our grand opening, opening new units and services at our hospital campus, including:

  • Our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, with beautiful, spacious rooms which have consistently operated at capacity since they opened

  • Our Ronald McDonald Family Room, offering a sanctuary to our patient families so parents can recharge and be with their kids during their hospital stay

  • Our Food Pantry, for when patient families need food as much as they need medicine

  • Our Be Well Gym, to keep caregivers healthy and energized

  • Our Gift Shop, which is already seeing about 85 customers daily

I'm pleased to announce that we are continuing to grow. We've already been approved to add eight new beds to the hospital and about 100 additional parking spaces.

As I look back on our first 100 days, what fills me with the greatest sense of pride is the culture that we have intentionally built from Day One. Its a culture rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. It drives us to swim outside our lanes and go where needed, focusing on our patients and serving each other as caregivers. I am honored to be on the inaugural Primary Children's Miller Campus team with you! We have an amazing journey ahead as we expand and enhance the services we provide on our beautiful campus while placing the needs of the child first and always.
