New Surgical Specialties leaders for Ophthalmology named

Jared W. Parker, MD

Associate Medical Director for Ophthalmology

Intermountain Healthcare’s Surgical Specialties Clinical Program (SSCP) is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Jared W. Parker as its new Associate Medical Director for ophthalmology. He will have responsibility for leadership in all aspects of ophthalmology across the Intermountain Care Continuum. 
 
Dr. Parker comes to Intermountain from Comprehensive Ophthalmology in Murray, where he has spent the last 10 years providing comprehensive medical and surgical management of eye conditions, including cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Prior to that, he worked as an attending physician at the Kellogg Eye Center and Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital, providing direct medical and surgical care of patients and supervision of ophthalmology residents. 
 
Dr. Parker earned his M.D. from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2004. He completed an internship at Intermountain LDS Hospital and his residency at Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Utah Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Parker is fluent in Spanish.
Yeh-Oliver

Oliver L. Yeh, MD

Assistant Medical Director for Ophthalmology

Joining Dr. Parker is Dr. Oliver L. Yeh who has been selected as the Assistant Medical Director for ophthalmology. Dr. Yeh will work closely with Dr. Parker in identifying and executing best practices across the continuum of care in ophthalmology. 
 
Dr. Yeh has been with the Intermountain Salt Lake Clinic since 2016, where he has been a cataract and glaucoma specialist as well as a physician policy reviewer for SelectHealth. Prior to that, he completed his fellowship and worked as a clinical instructor at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami where he participated in bench marking and process improvement. 
 
He is a member of the Utah Ophthalmology Society, and the Utah Medical Association as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society
