Intermountain begins search for new hepatologists

A message from Paul Krakovitz, MD, VP and chief medical officer for Specialty-Based Care

A search committee to recruit additional hepatologists to Intermountain, to work in the Hepatology and Liver Transplant Programs in the department of Digestive Health, has been assembled and will be chaired by Nathan Richards, MD.

Members of the search committee will include Nathan Richards, MD, senior medical director, Surgical Specialties; James Orford, MD, Cardiology; Diane Alonso, MD, Transplant Center director; Manuel Rodriguez, MD, Living Donor Transplant director; Scott Stern, MD, GI; and Richard Gilroy, MD, medical director of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation.

Intermountain has a very strong, nationally recognized and growing liver program. Successful hires will be an integral addition to the existing team and will be a critical component in further expanding our program. We are confident this search committee will find talented physicians who have both interests in what Utah has to offer and who align with Intermountain's commitment to helping people live the healthiest lives possible. Hepatologists are in short supply and we need your help in recruiting.

If anyone has connections with hepatologists who might be interested in this opportunity, please contact Dr. Gilroy on 801-507-8304 or by email at Richard.Gilroy@imail.org, or feel free to contact anyone on the search committee.
